Description

Everyone in HVAC has felt the effect of the labor shortage in our industry.

More than ever before, people with little or no HVAC experience are being hired by local dealers.

To help with the influx of new employees, we’ve developed an 8-hour class specifically designed to help business owners prepare new personnel for the job.

We will focus on:

  • Understanding major and minor system components—what are the parts and pieces that work together to make a comfort system function?
  • The importance of proper system design and installation
  • Efficiency requirements and their role in our industry
  • Why IAQ is such a big part of HVAC
  • Comfort controls—let’s face it, they do a lot more than just read temperature
  • Why there are so many system options and the benefits of offering higher efficient choices

Whether your employee is working the service counter, answering the phone at a local dealer, an inspiring installer or comfort consultant, this class will prepare them for a successful career in HVAC.

Sessions will be conducted in two segments.

Session 1 will be 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Central

Session 2 will be 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Central.

One registration covers both sessions.

After registration, attendees will receive an email with details on how to join the Live Online Classroom.
Attendees will receive reminder emails the day prior to the class and 1 hour before the class begins.

  1. Marcus Duranceau (verified owner)

Plan to use some of the metaphors and techniques of talking to the customers to share system benefits. Also showing me how the units work in cooling and heating really helped me understand the whole process.
Marcus Duranceau – Camblin Mechanical Inc.

  2. Sharyn Fabiszewski (verified owner)

I am an office manager and didn’t think this class would pertain much to me but my boss talked me into it. I truly enjoyed the class and even being here almost 10 years, I still learned a lot. I truly enjoyed Patrick’s teaching. Great Job!
Sharyn Fabiszewski – Weidner Heating Air

  3. Lakia Moore (verified owner)

I’m new to HVAC. This information is a life saver for me. I feel I understand things for the first time.
Lakia Moore – McCullough Heating Air Conditioning

  4. Troy Mauder

The class was entertaining, informative and I feel as though things were explained well enough for those with less experience to understand and apply. With over 40 years of experience, I found the material to be a very good review and would encourage new people to our industry to attend this course.
Troy Mauder – Mauder Heating Air Conditioning

  5. Jonah Penney (verified owner)

Loved the overview of the various system types and how all of the components must work together to keep customers comfortable. I feel I have a much better understanding of how systems actually heat and cool.
Jonah Penney – Gerry Palermo Plumbing Heating Cooling

  6. Jacob Wolff (verified owner)

I had a general knowledge of HVAC but I loved the depth and detail you put into the class.
Jacob Wolff – General Heating Air Conditioning

  7. Brittany Brasher (verified owner)

The class gave me a better understanding of what everything was and what the techs are talking about when they call in or are working on something.
Brittany Brasher – AMS Mechanical Systems Inc.

  8. Elise Radawitz (verified owner)

I’ve already written down a number of questions to ask my hiring managers based upon what I learned from the course. This training will also enable me to have more technical conversations with engineer and HVACR candidates.
Elise Radawitz – Gustave A. Larson Company

  9. Kelly Gannon (verified owner)

I will have better knowledge that I will be able to use as I answer the phones.
    Kelly Gannon – Sila Inc.

  10. Amanda Holland (verified owner)

I plan to reference more everyday scenarios that customers can relate to like a car and their HVAC system. Also, I really like asking the customer on a scale of 1-10 what do you like about your current system?
Amanda Holland – AAA Northgate Heating & Air

  11. Terri Teitel (verified owner)

I took this course as a distributor rep to see how it could support me as I encounter new salesman and how to train them properly. I will recommend this course as a precursor to my product training. All conversations have to use a ruler of comfort. I’ll keep that at the forefront of my discussions with salesmen. It was a great constant theme that I need to circle back to with all of my discussions.
Terri Teitel – Refrigeration Sales Inc.

  12. Gretchen Perry (verified owner)

I plan to use the suggested materials for proper sizing of AC/Heating units. Use conversational knowledge to help ease talking with customers.
Gretchen Perry – Propane Plus Inc.

  13. Andrew Moffatt (verified owner)

I plan to import the performing load calls. And also, discuss the filtration systems and benefits of advanced comfort control devices.
    Andrew Moffatt – Sila Inc.
