    I attended my first “Planning For Profit” class back in 2003. I did not think I could afford the $2-K outlay at the time as we were not “making it.”
    Since then, over the years, I’ve attended three more times, bringing managers and various team members to this unbelievable class.
    In hindsight…. I would have spent tens of thousands of dollars to have gained this great insight earlier in my business career.

    Liked how it demonstrated planning for future purchases in addition to the replacement of existing equipment. Valuable information, though for the underground utility business there were some factors that are irrelevant (ie service work, maintenance contracts). Also, much of what we do is based on crews, rather than individuals. We had to make adjustments to the hourly billing rate to try and account for the wide range of billing rates that relate to the work we do. It was good for me to go through the numbers in detail and causes me to view the data differently then I may have otherwise.

I will say I was surprised the content was more geared toward utilizing software and less on business concepts but I was still able to get that info using the software examples.
