This simple spreadsheet below is the cornerstone of your content planning.  Over the next few days, you will add content to this sheet to expand your plan.  Download it now and transfer your best questions from Lesson 1 to this sheet in column B.  Do not worry about columns C – E.   

Using Google, Answer Socrates and Answer the Public , expand your list of questions.  Add 3-5 new questions for each category on your spreadsheet.


Lesson 1 – Answering the Questions

Before you answer the 4 types of questions your customer will ask, you need to define your ideal client or target audience.  When you try to be all things to all people, you wind up delivering a product or message that doesn’t please anyone.  The same is true for your SEO program.  If you haven’t defined your ideal client, it will be difficult to anticipate their search intent. Download and use this workbook to narrow your audience.  If you have multiple audiences, pick the most profitable segment for this program.  You can repeat the process for each segment over time.

Now that you know your ideal client, download the Searcher Intent Workbook to help you define the questions your customers will ask. To win at search, you must build pages which answer the questions as specifically and completely as possible using language people are likely to use in their search.
